Speed Read Contest

A speed read contest was conducted in JSS International School,Dubai, on 13th and 14th February, 2018 by the Englishdepartment. The contest was conducted by ‘Only Success – Transforming Lives!’for grade 3 to 9 students.

 

The students were enthusiastic about the contest and were curious aboutthe next level of the program

SpeedReading Competition Procedure:

StepOne: The students will be addressed by one session– 30 Minutes Training on Speed Reading and explanation + 15 Minutes ofPreliminary Round. (45 mins).  

  

Step Two:  After the Preliminary Round,qualified students will be short listed for the Inter School Speed Reading Contest,(4th May 2018, Expo Center, Sharjah). Shortlisted students will receiveQualified Certificates for the finals and one finalist from every grade will begiven a free Training program.

 

StepThree: Winners will be declared on the spot, on theday of Contest. (4th May2018).

 

CertificationDistribution:

 

The certificatesfor finalist will be given to school and Certificate of participation will begiven with the complimentary seminar on life skills and study skills held on23rd February 2018 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. All theparticipants of Speed Reading competition will be contacted for the collectionof the participation certificates.

 

Training for Finalist (Free of Cost):

The finalist will be trained by the Only SuccessProfessionals who are equipped with the knowledge of Neuro Linguistic Program(NLP) for the final Inter School Contest. 

 

Final Event:

800 students; 1500 parents and 1300spectators will be attending the event. This mega event will be under the booksof Guinness World Records. This will be the first time in UAE that there wouldbe more than 800 students participating for the Speed Reading

Competition across UAE. Mr. B.R. Shetty(NMC and Bright Riders School Chairman), Mr. Yousuf Ali (Lulu Chairman) andLocal Ministries from UAE education ministry would be the guests of honour forthis event.  

 

The event was one of its kind experiencefor the students of JSSIS.
