It is with great pride and joy that I would like to share that I have received the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation’s Distinguished Student Award in the Academic Field. It has been a long, yet memorable and pulchritudinous journey leading up to this prestigious accolade, and there are many to thank for this experience. I am sincerely grateful to the foundation’s committee for easing the application process and precisely defining the criteria. I am also indebted to my parents for their relentless support and encouragement throughout. Most of all, I would like to thank my school, JSSIS’ management and faculty for facilitating my scholastic and societal contributions over the past years which has granted me this honour. I am especially thankful to our principal, Mrs. Lata Nakra for believing in my potential and guiding me, our High School supervisor, Dr. Swamy for his continued support, and my class teacher, Mrs. Nonika Bahl for her continuous guidance. Finally, I would like to say that the three axes of the award, Excellence, Societal Contributions, and Continuity and Future Plans have truly helped me develop and thrive as a promising and poetic individual, devout to my community. To everyone with a dream and zest for success, I quote Alexander the Great - “There is nothing impossible to they who will try”, for everyone starts somewhere.
